One of China's largest mining and drilling equipment manufacturers was founded in my hometown. Over 3,000 workers. My father was the workshop director.
As China underwent profound economic transformation, the plant that operated for nearly half a century was officially shut down. Three thousand families lost their direction overnight.
Out of desperation and defiance, old co-workers pooled their savings and asked my father to lead them in starting a new drill pipe factory. The old plant was gone. And from its ashes, ours was born.
Philosophy
What those old workers brought out of the plant wasn't blueprints or machines — it was the master-apprentice bond that held for 30 years.
The product must be hard — a drill pipe cannot bend when it hits the rock. Your backbone must be hard — when the sky falls, you stand and finish the job.
What the old workers taught me wasn't how to use machines — it was when not to trust them.
Our slowness is the entrusted legacy of an era, the unbroken rule of two generations, a promise no machine can replace.
Process
Machines take the product to 99 points. The extra effort — 20 years of eyes and hands — chases that final point.
Every joint is friction-welded, then nitrided. Surface hardness is boosted by an order of magnitude.
After every weld, the machine performs flaw detection. Then a veteran craftsman performs a manual reinspection.
Steel grades are selected for the product and application. Confirm the available grades in each product specification before ordering.
Every batch undergoes rigorous heat treatment. Quenching and tempering adjusted batch by batch for consistent mechanical properties.
